The Indian in the Cupboard DVD
Hal Scardino stars as Omri, whose gifts for his 9th birthday include an old wooden cupboard and a miniature plastic Indian. When his mother (Lindsay Crouse) gives him a special key that fits the cupboard, Omri locks the little Indian inside it and goes to bed. The next morning when he opens the cupboard, a 3-inch-tall living Indian named Little Bear (Litefoot) emerges. Omri shares his astounding secret with no one except his best friend, Patrick (Rishi Bhat). Against Omri's better judgment, Patrick places a plastic cowboy into the cupboard, and it too is transformed into a flesh-and-blood 3-inch cowboy named Boone (David Keith). The boys soon discover the many startling consequences of their actions. A climactic battle in Omri's bedroom finally teaches the boys--and their pint-size friends--an unforgettable lesson about life.
