The Land Rovers have become icons with its noticeable mounted spare tire. Series 1 was first produced in 1948 as a cross between utility vehicle and a tractor. Its distinctive shape came from the necessity to use minimal material. It was the first 4WD vehicle with doors. The series III production started in 1971 and became the most popular to date.
